I am new to Almas Del Ritmo Dance Company, I’ve never taken Latin dance classes before, where do I begin?

Welcome!   Before you get started on your Latin dance journey,  the best place to begin is with one of our essential classes.  Salsa Essentials or Bachata Essentials.  These are foundational classes on which all the other classes are based.  Start by checking our class schedule and registering for one of those classes.   If you have a partner joining you, they will need their own profile as well.

I have dance experience but have never taken a class at ADRDC how do I know which class, to begin with?

Before Registering for classes email us at or call (314) 651-2908 to set up a complimentary assessment. It is important that you are in the correct class that will enhance your growth as a dancer, and we want to work with you every step of the way.

How long will it take to learn Salsa or Bachata?

Our Latin dance training teaches Latin dance styles like Salsa and Bachata from our own unique curriculum. Here is an example of the different levels and the duration you can expect to spend at each level.

How are ADR Classes Scheduled?

Our curriculum-based classes are 4-weeks long. Each class is 1-hour long and meets once a week. For example, if you register for a Basic 1 salsa class on Monday at 6:00 pm, that is your class for the next 4 weeks.

How much are classes?

$72 per 4-week session. You get a total of 4 1-hour sessions for $72.

How do I know if I need to sign up as a lead or follow?

You will need to decide if you would like to learn as a lead or a follow.   A lead is someone who will guide and executes the signals in the dance. The follower is someone who will responds to the lead’s signals during the dance.

What do I wear for class?

We want you to be comfortable.  You are able to wear workout clothes and in some cases tennis shoes.  You will not be doing heavy spinning until two months into training.  However, a flat comfortable shoe is best.

How does your schedule work?

ADR classes run on 4-week sessions, we start usually the first Monday of each month, but it could vary depending on the ending date of the month. (30 or 31) date varies each month.   It is important to our website to know when the next session date begins.

How do I read the ADR Schedule?

Classes are listed by day of the week and time. 3 classes run every hour in different rooms.  For Example, If you register for a Monday's Bachata  class at 7:00 PM, you would come to that class on that day, at that time, for 4 weeks.
