ADR's Solidarity Statement
Almas Del Ritmo Dance Company is heavy-hearted and outraged by the horrific murders of JACOB BLAKE, GEORGE FLOYD, AHMAUD ARBERY, BREONNA TAYLOR, MIKE BROWN, and many others who have died unlawfully and unjustly. Unfortunately, African Americans in this country are very familiar with these terrifying events. What is new now are the infinite capabilities for the public to broadcast incidents live which doesn't allow it to be ignored or swept under the rug. As a minority-owned dance company deeply rooted African cultured dance, Almas Del Ritmo has always used its platform to stand against brutality, racism, human trafficking, and hate. We will continue to dance against systematic racism and injustice while using our art platform to create a space for empathy, dialogue, compassion, and healing.
